Everything I Say and Do...

Do It All For the Glory of God!

It is hard to live in this world. We are in this world but NOT of it.

Romans 12:2 says:

"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

When we believe, we should be "transformed." Do you believe that God's will for you is "good and pleasing and perfect?"

Sometimes it is hard when we are going through storms, but when we chose to follow Jesus, we were not guaranteed and easy life. In fact, Jesus was persecuted, too!

Jesus says in John 16:33:

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Did you catch that? We'll have "many trials," and the Lord uses difficult situations for us to grow closer to Him. He turns our tests into testimonies to glorify Him.

James 1:2-4 says:

"when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing."

Again, we can see it's not if but when we'll endure "troubles." If we are not in a storm now, we will be. This doesn't mean we live in fear. We need to be battle ready so we can handle the storm when it comes. It isn't fun when we are in the storm but looking back we can often see what we learned through our struggles.

Be confident that the wicked will have consequences and judged even if we don't see it happen!

2 Peter 2:9 says:

"So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue Godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment."

There are only two sides: Good or evil. You can't straddle the fence! If you haven't made the decision to follow Jesus, make sure you get right with Him today, for we aren't guaranteed tomorrow! Scripture is clear about how to be saved: "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 12:9).  If you have prayed this prayer, be confident that you will spend eternity with Jesus. If this is the first time you have prayed this prayer, make sure you are getting connected with other brothers and sisters in Christ or contact us for support on your journey!

"So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do,

do it all for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31.)"
